Web developer for the New York City based university. Develop, debug, assess and maintain all current Linux-based systems as well as actively participate in the development and structuring of new systems. Consult with other departments across the university to support, develop and stabilize their own, independently managed web-based systems. Lead developer for the 2018 rewrite — and ongoing maintenance and development — of the univerity’s comprehensive multi-school/college Course Catalog as well as the IT department’s once Drupal-based web-based service catalog. Also have developed ETL (extract, transform, load) systems and related middle-ware processes to cleanly — and reliably — process data across disparate university systems and platforms.
Guggenheim Museum

Full-time Linux systems administrator for the New York City based, internationally renowned, art museum. Managed and monitored all Linux servers in the Guggenheims’ Linux-based clusters to ensure 24/7 operation and availability. Was the hands-on tech lead in the assessment, forensics and recovery of key pieces of web-based Internet art in the museum’s permanent collection such as Shu Lea Cheang’s landmark digital art project Brandon (1998-99) as well as John Simon’s Unfolding Object (2002) and Mark Napier’s net.flag (2002). Was also a part of the project team for the Guggenheim’s 2013 electronic records management start-up project funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC).

Contract Linux systems administrator for the web-based, global online arts newsletter/publication. Managed all servers in e-flux’s Linux-based cluster to ensure 24/7 operation and availability. Monitored and debugged e-flux’s high-volume mail server (450,000 to 200,000 mails per day) to ensure overall stability and availability.

Lead web developer tech for the New York City based art publication. Developed, produced and maintained all front-end and back-end aspects of Artforum’s main website and sister sites: Bookforum and Artforum China. Worked closely with existing tech team to conceive, develop, modernize, and re-platform pre-existing PHP and MySQL based CMS to a more object oriented and flexible system.
